82 Sanur Restaurants and Cafés: Start with Breakfast and Dinner
These are restaurant and café research notes made before the September 2026 Sanur trip, not reviews of 82 places visited. I have kept the Andaz breakfast photos and the separate review of the CHAGEE drink I actually tried distinct from the researched candidates. Ratings, menus, and hours are dated reference points, so check current details before visiting.
Rather than build each day around a restaurant, I started with the route around the beach promenade and Danau Tamblingan. I grouped the candidates by the kind of time they could fill: dinner on arrival, an afternoon by the beach, one local meal, or breakfast after a walk. The 82 places are neither a ranking nor a finished itinerary, but options to choose from along the way.
The drink I actually tried has its own CHAGEE Da Hong Pao milk tea review.
Choose the time first, then the restaurant
- An easy dinner on arrival day: Massimo, Three Monkeys, Kaluma. Start with familiar dishes; if Massimo has a long evening queue, consider gelato without a full meal.
- New at the time of research: 7AM Bakers, Cafe Dasa, Da Nonna, Tamba, From Here, Lamuri, Luca Bali. Where reviews are sparse, confirm current operations and menus before relying on a rating.
- One local meal: Warung Mak Beng, Men Weti, Lilla Warung, Warung Ketut, Warung Mega. Choose the dish and route first, then check morning hours and possible queues.
- Spending a long time by the beach: Byrd House, Pier Eight, Tandjung Sari, Soul On The Beach. Treat this separately from a quick meal, and check seating and opening hours first.
- Breakfast after a sunrise walk: Genius Cafe, Daily Baguette, Sala Bistro. Pick one near the end of the walk rather than add another long journey.
- Coffee and bread: Le Croissant, Rona Manis, Mushroom Espresso, Cafe Bloom, Huma Beach, Olli Baked Goods, Café Akaya. Separate places for a quiet stay from a quick bakery stop.
- When Korean food is essential: GANG NAM. Keep it as a change of cuisine rather than rank it against Balinese meals.
- Dinner combined with a mall visit: Blossom Steakhouse, Golden Monkey Sanur. Pair these with an ICON BALI day to avoid a separate journey.
For the later part of the Sanur stay, the plan was to mix local restaurants and simple breakfasts into the itinerary rather than book a long dinner every evening.
Eating inside Andaz Bali

A breakfast dessert photographed at Andaz. September 2026.
The 82 places below are Sanur options outside the accommodation, while on days we stay at Andaz Bali, there are additional choices within the resort. We can decide whether to go out to find another restaurant or combine dining and beach time at the hotel.
I looked at the menus and operating hours on Andaz’s official pages together with Google Maps. The Google ratings are snapshots checked on 2026-08-31. Because venues within the resort may have few reviews or mixed menu information, I give priority to the official pages.
| Options inside Andaz | Character and menu | Google rating | When to consider it | Check again |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wok Wok · Google Maps | Indonesian comfort food | 4.7/5 (237 reviews) | When we want Balinese food but do not want to go out | Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus and hours |
| Blue Oven · Google Maps | Mediterranean oven dishes, including lamb shank | 4.7/5 (114 reviews) | When the two of us want different cuisines | Latest menu and seating |
| Fire Fox · Google Maps | Open-fire, Korean BBQ, and Pocha Bar | 4.6/5 (93 reviews) | When we need Korean food or a late dinner | Hansik operating days and reservations |
| Deli & Bakery · Google Maps | Coffee, tea, cake, desserts, and ice cream | 5.0/5 (1 review) | When we want something simple after swimming | Today’s desserts and opening hours |
| Fisherman’s Club · Google Maps | Seafood, grill, and cocktails, with beach seating | 4.5/5 (1,019 reviews) | When we want to combine sunset and dinner | Lunch and dinner hours, seating, and live schedule |
| In-Room Dining | Breakfast, meals, and late-night snacks; listed as 24 hours | No Google rating | Just after check-in or on a night we want to rest | Room phone 0 and the current EAT IN menu |
The dining options inside Andaz are not included in the number 82 for Sanur restaurants. Separating days when we choose an outside restaurant from days when we rest and eat at the resort makes the itinerary less complicated.
Choose an easy place on arrival day
Massimo Italian Restaurant
Google rating: 4.7/5 (17,088 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: ジェラート, Gelato Massimo
Often mentioned as a long-established Italian restaurant in Sanur, it was an easy first-day option when unfamiliar dishes felt like too much of a decision: pizza, pasta, or gelato. Since the evening wait can be long, I also kept open the option of eating elsewhere and stopping here just for gelato.
Three Monkeys Sanur
Google rating: 4.4/5 (1,516 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Nasi Goreng Seafood, Beef Rendang
Balinese and Mediterranean-style dishes come with evening jazz. I kept it in mind for a first-day meal after resting at the hotel, while noting that the atmosphere may differ on nights without a performance.
Kaluma
Google rating: 4.9/5 (2,202 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Chicken Parma, Pork Belly
With steak, pasta, and Indonesian dishes on the menu, it is easier for two people with different preferences to find something in one place. Live music is part of the appeal, though anyone looking for a quiet dinner should check the performance time and seating first.
Cafe Dasa
Google rating: 4.9/5 (76 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It is a newly opened all-day restaurant serving modern Asian food. It could work for a late lunch after check-in or a light dinner when the timing is awkward.
Information about newly opened places changes quickly, so it remained a provisional option until its operating status could be confirmed.
Junsei
Google rating: 4.8/5 (179 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Grilled Chicken Yakitori Skewer, Tsukune Skewer with Egg Yolk
It is a Japanese izakaya serving binchotan yakitori. It would suit an evening when we want a different cuisine after several Indonesian meals.
It was described as new at the time of research, so visitors should check its menu and operating hours before going.
Pasar
Google rating: 4.4/5 (3,594 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It serves wood-fired grilled dishes and Peruvian and South American plates for sharing. It is worth considering when we want a dinner of several plates shared rather than one main course per person.
We do not need to eat Balinese food every day
Luca Bali
Google rating: 5.0/5 (469 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It is a new steakhouse-style place. I kept it as an option to compare with Blossom for a meat-centered dinner.
Curry Traders
Google rating: 4.7/5 (134 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It serves Indian, Sri Lankan, and Southeast Asian curries together with cocktails. We can choose it when we feel like bold spice flavors that are different from those in Indonesian food.
The plan was to decide on the spice level after looking at the menu.
Hanoi by MeVui
Google rating: 4.4/5 (1,144 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Bánh Mì Tips, Com Suon
We can have familiar, light Vietnamese food such as pho and banh mi. We saved it for days when a heavy dinner feels burdensome after a tour or swimming.
Blossom Steakhouse
Google rating: 4.7/5 (781 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Burrata, Caesar Salad
It serves steak and seafood inside ICON BALI. Rather than going only for the food, it feels more natural to combine dinner with a day at the mall.
Warung Mak Beng
Google rating: 4.6/5 (22,643 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Fried Fish and Fish Soup, Sop Ikan Dan Ikan Goreng
This is a long-established local restaurant known for fried fish and fish soup. It is one of the first places we would consider when we want a local meal in Sanur rather than a glamorous dinner.
The plan was to check the wait time and that day’s operating status on the map.
Byrd House
Google rating: 4.3/5 (1,848 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Sanur Smoothie Bowl, Squid-Ink Nasi Goreng
This is a place where a late lunch and the atmosphere of spending time at the beach come before Mediterranean or Italian-style dishes. If beach-view seating matters, a reservation may be better than a walk-in.
A beachfront location does not mean the same kind of breakfast
Genius Cafe
Google rating: 4.4/5 (2,777 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
Right by the sea, we can choose brunch, smoothie bowls, and vegan dishes. It makes the most sense as a breakfast stop after a sunrise walk or yoga.
Since it requires going south from the accommodation, I planned to decide whether to make the trip after looking at the route.
Daily Baguette Sanur
Google rating: 4.6/5 (1,459 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Plain Croissant, Smash Avo Double Egg
It is a French bakery where we can have a quick breakfast with croissants and coffee. It would be useful when a tour starts early or hotel breakfast feels burdensome.
The independent store and the ICON BALI branch may open at different times.
Sala Bistro
Google rating: 4.6/5 (1,448 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Dragon Bowl, Hot Latte
It serves all-day brunch and coffee and was often mentioned as a comfortable air-conditioned space. It is worth remembering when we need somewhere to rest for a long time in the heat or open a laptop.
Na-Ta by Patio
Google rating: 4.7/5 (89 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It offers Indonesian brunch in a tropical garden setting. It seems like a good option for a quiet late breakfast away from the beachfront.
Mushroom Espresso
Google rating: 4.7/5 (131 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Almond Latte with Honey on the Side
This is a café where coffee comes before the beach view. Brunch is also possible, but it moves up our list on a day when we are looking for specialty coffee.
Cafe Bloom
Google rating: 4.9/5 (358 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Cuppa Cappuccino, Cafe Latte to Go
It is a small space attached to a flower shop and café. It is better suited to taking a short break with tea or coffee than to a large brunch.
Huma Beach
Google rating: 4.9/5 (540 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: No Google menu shown · Check the official menu before visiting
It is a place to drink while looking at the sea and sunset. It is better thought of as having a drink on the beach before dinner than as a meal destination.
Stuja di Pantai
Google rating: 4.5/5 (5,309 reviews, checked 2026-08-30) · Google’s displayed popular dishes and items: Nasi Goreng Genyol, Kopi Susu Bumi
We can have coffee and brunch in front of the beach. On a day moving south or having breakfast after a run, we can compare it with Genius Cafe.
24 more places to choose from along the way
The choice in Sanur changes depending on whether we are passing along the beach promenade, Danau Tamblingan, or ICON BALI. We kept the list below by looking at the route before the cuisine as well.

The choices we kept for our itinerary
For arrival day, we kept one dinner option that would not require a complicated reservation; on a beach-walking day, brunch or a late lunch made more sense. We planned to choose one restaurant inside ICON BALI on the mall day, and to leave local food to either Warung Mak Beng or Cafe Batu Jimbar.
On days we stay at Andaz, we can choose the options inside the resort separately in Andaz Bali: What to Check in Reviews and a Day Inside the Resort.
If the weather is hot or we are tired, a nearby place may be the better choice. The plan was not to visit two distant cafés just for the sea views.
I checked the shared Google Maps link first
The shared URL did not point to one restaurant. It opened a public Google Maps list called “Trending in Denpasar” with 25 places. Coordinate checks showed that it mixes Sanur venues with businesses elsewhere in Denpasar. I brought across only the 12 entries that fit a practical Sanur route, and I did not count Cafe Dasa and Luca Bali twice because both were already in this article. That leaves 10 newly added places from the shared list.
A high score with only a handful of reviews is not treated as proof of a reliable favourite. Bakso Koko showed 5.0 from one review, so I left it as a watch-list item and excluded it from the total of 82.
| Sanur entry from the shared list | Signature dishes or character | Hours checked | Google public-list snapshot, 2026-09-21 | Review pattern and caution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7AM Bakers · 7PM Diners Sanur · official | French pastries, artisan bread, coffee, and all-day dishes | Official address confirmed; check same-day Maps hours | 4.3/5 · 24 reviews | A 2026 opening centred on bread and brunch. It works as a breakfast candidate, but the review base is still small. |
| Massimo Gelato Outlet | Pistachio, mango, and coconut gelato and sorbet | Check same-day Maps hours | 5.0/5 · 108 reviews | Recent Korean reviews repeatedly say the evening queue can be long but moves quickly. It works well as a gelato-only stop separate from a full meal at Massimo. |
| Da Nonna Osteria | House-made pasta, Roman-style pizza, focaccia, and deli plates | Opening promotion ran 17:00–21:00; confirm current hours | 4.4/5 · 22 reviews | It adds another Italian option, but the early review count is too small to place it automatically above long-established restaurants. |
| Tamba by Junsei | Matcha, hojicha, genmaicha, mango mochi by day; cocktails, sake, and vinyl by night | Tue–Sun 10:00–17:00 tea room; listening bar from 17:00 until late; selected-cocktail happy hour 17:00–19:00 | 4.7/5 · 12 reviews | A local feature gives detailed hours and menu examples. It is more a tea-and-music destination than a full meal. |
| See You Cafe by RIWA | Breakfast and brunch, salads, pasta, smoothies, and coffee | Daily 07:00–17:00 | 4.9/5 · 14 reviews | Its official social profile and GrabFood menu agree on the concept. Useful for an early breakfast, but still lightly reviewed. |
| Rona Manis Bake House Sanur | Original and garlic-cream-cheese salt bread, cold brew | Confirm the Sanur branch’s same-day hours | 4.9/5 · 33 reviews | Indonesian posts repeatedly mention a crisp exterior and soft, buttery centre. I would go in the morning before popular bread sells out. |
| SONORA Mexican Eatery | Chicken and beef burritos, tacos, and salsa | Check same-day Maps hours | 4.7/5 · 357 reviews | Community reviews praise the burritos and fresh preparation. Its menu overlaps Jalapeño, so location and waiting time can decide between them. |
| Warung Rawon Malang | Rawon, soto ayam, and nasi pecel | Mon–Sat 11:00–20:00 is the dominant listing, while some official posts say 10:00–19:00; confirm same day | 4.5/5 · 727 reviews | A casual local option for East Javanese black beef soup and inexpensive meals. Do not fix it into a Sunday plan. |
| DOTSMOKE Grill & Bar | Long-smoked brisket, brisket burger, and barbecue-style nasi campur | Daily 07:00–22:00 | 4.6/5 · 330 reviews | English video and community reviews like the meat-to-price balance and brisket burger. A clear choice when we specifically want smoked meat. |
| CHAGEE ICON BALI · mall directory | Jasmine milk tea, pure tea, and fruit tea | Use ICON BALI’s 10:00–22:00 baseline and confirm the store | 4.9/5 · 535 reviews | This is a global tea chain, not a local Sanur café. It is practical for air-conditioning and takeaway during a mall visit. |
| Cafe Dasa | Modern Asian all-day dining | Check same-day Maps hours | 4.8/5 · 172 reviews | Already in the article. Its reappearance on the public list gives it more weight, but menus and hours can still move quickly. |
| Luca Bali · official | Dry-aged steak, wine, and cocktails | Confirm current hours in the reservation flow | 4.8/5 · 229 reviews | Already in the article. It has a smart-casual dress code and suits a special dinner rather than a value steak meal. |
Review totals in a Google public list can differ from those on an individual place page or Tripadvisor. I therefore care more about whether the review base is substantial and whether menu and hours can be confirmed independently than about tenths of a rating point.
Five more varied places beyond the public list
Of the 15 places added, 10 were new entries from the September 2026 public Google Maps list and five came from local media and Naver Blog and Cafe searches beyond it. Those five broaden the mix without repeating a cuisine: brunch, spice-led regional food, a French bakery, casual local dining, and steak.
| Added place | Signature dishes | Hours | Review summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| From Here Bali · feature | Build Your Own Breakfast, Korean fried-chicken waffles, burrata pizza, and bread baked daily | Confirm via official social account and Maps | Opened 2026-07-23. The garden, pet-friendly space, laptop corners, and family-friendly long brunch are strengths, but it is still a new operation. |
| Lamuri · local feature | Kare Kambing, Kothu Roti, Crab Masala, and Ayam Tangkap Aceh | Lunch and dinner; closed Monday | Connects South Indian, Sri Lankan, and Sumatran flavours. Best for sharing several plates; skip it on a day when strong spices do not appeal. |
| Le Croissant Sanur | Croissants, sandwiches, salads, and coffee | Daily 06:00–20:00 | Two Naver Blog posts and a Naver Cafe review agree on a quiet breakfast, croissants, and promotional sets. Good after a sunrise walk. |
| Warung Happy Monkeys | Chicken curry noodles, Indonesian dishes, Bintang beer, and blueberry smoothies | Listings show service as late as 23:30; confirm by day | One 2026 Naver writer returned four to five times with two children during a month-long stay. It suits a lively evening opposite ICON BALI, not a quiet dinner. |
| Arena Pub & Restaurant | Fillet and T-bone steaks, onion soup, and pub dishes | Listed 11:30–24:00; check the live-music schedule separately | Naver Blog and Cafe posts repeatedly praise value for steak, while some reviews mention service and crowding. It pairs well with GrandLucky rather than a beach walk. |
In the Naver posts I reviewed, the recurring points were Massimo’s evening queue, Arena’s value steaks, Le Croissant’s early breakfast, and repeat visits to Happy Monkeys. The newer 7AM, Da Nonna, Tamba, See You, and Rona Manis had little or no Korean coverage. I kept them as candidates, but did not present them as if they had the same depth of Korean-language traveller evidence.
I avoided freezing prices because menu revisions, tax, and service charges move quickly. As reference points only, a September 2026 Naver post listed Soul On The Beach’s Margherita pizza at IDR 85K, while an October 2025 Massimo post listed a basic two-flavour cup at IDR 20K. These are visit-date snapshots, not current quotations.
23 places added from Naver, Reddit, and local sources
The 82 options comprise the original 44, 23 added from Korean reviews, Reddit, and local sources, and 15 more considered from public lists and follow-up searches. For the 23 below, I avoided candidates with overlapping menus and locations. I prioritized Korean posts with explicit non-sponsored disclosures, read repeated Reddit recommendations alongside opposing views, and used local media and official websites to distinguish each venue’s character, location, and operation. This is a candidate list, not a ranking.
12 casual warungs focused on local food
- Warung Amphibia Seafood — Charcoal-grilled seafood at Sindhu Beach. Reddit repeatedly mentioned it as a good-value seafood candidate, but a 2026 Naver review marked as paid for by the reviewer did not recommend it. Because the experiences conflict, the plan was to decide on site after considering hygiene, seafood turnover, and how busy it was that day.
- Warung Kecil Infinity — Nasi campur assembled by choosing side dishes. It was repeatedly recommended in Reddit posts about inexpensive restaurants and Indonesian food. I planned to check on the map that day whether lunch dishes had run out and whether it was open.
- Men Weti — Balinese nasi campur breakfast. Reddit mentioned it as a breakfast warung near Segara Beach where a line forms before opening. Because the latest official hours were unclear, I planned to go only if I could confirm on site that it was operating.
- Warung Guna’s — Nasi goreng, mie goreng, and bihun goreng. A 2026-09-20 Naver review liked the low prices and food and warned that payment was cash only. This adds one recent Korean account, but official menu and hours evidence remains limited, so it stays a backup candidate.
- Lilla Warung — Indonesian and Western food, plus Balinese pancakes. A Reddit user said they went three days in a row for the Indonesian dishes and pancakes, and a 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer also described it as a convenient place for having local and Western food together.
- Warung Ketut — Mie goreng, nasi goreng, and cap cai. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer described it as inexpensive and easygoing, but also noted a wait of about 30 minutes, flies outdoors, and disappointment with the portion size. I did not want to choose it based only on the positives.
- Coconut Tree — Local and Indonesian food, with live music in the evening. A Reddit post about inexpensive restaurants mentioned it as a sister restaurant of Warung Little Bird, while a 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer highlighted the basic quality of the food and the live band. For a quiet meal, the plan was to avoid performance time.
- Warung Mega — Balinese food less adapted to tourists’ tastes. Reddit users looking for strongly local food west of the Bypass, rather than around the beach or Tamblingan, recommended it in two posts. Because official menu information is limited, I am keeping it only as a candidate for exploring local food.
- Sindhu Night Market — Satay, martabak, juice, and food from various stalls. It was repeatedly mentioned in Reddit posts about inexpensive Indonesian food and in English-language Sanur guides. The evidence does not guarantee the quality of any particular stall, so I planned to choose one with a crowd and quick turnover and bring cash in small notes.
- Bakso Balung Pak Rebo — Bone-meat bakso and lontong. A 2026 comparison review marked as paid for by the reviewer praised the clean, galbitang-like broth and low price, while noting the small portion and bone fragments as things to watch for.
- Warung Men Runtu — Rujak pindang and Balinese snacks. Kompas Food introduced it as a rujak pindang restaurant in Sanur. I see it as a local snack experience rather than a place for a full meal.
- Warung Ajik — Baronang fried fish and coastal home-style food. A 2025 local report by detikBali confirmed the coastal home-style food and crispy fried fish of Sanur. I have marked it as a candidate found in Indonesian-language material rather than as a representative tourist restaurant.
6 dinners that change up the cuisine
- Pescado Sanur · Google Maps — Paella, octopus, garlic prawns, and wine. I confirmed the Sanur branch and reservation channel on the official website. A 2025 review marked as paid for by the reviewer liked the squid-ink paella, octopus, and grilled prawns, but noted that the prices were high by Bali standards. I see it as an option for a special dinner only.
- Rava — Modern all-day dining and drinks. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer praised the resort-like space, while also noting that the food and drinks for two cost more than at ordinary Sanur restaurants.
- Paed Thai Sanur · Google Maps — Pad Thai, tom yum, and mango sticky rice. Both the official page and the GoFood Sanur branch can be confirmed. It is a Thai alternative for a day when Indonesian food has been continuing for several meals.
- The Chowk · Google Maps — North and South Indian curries, tandoori, biryani, and mithai. I confirmed the menu, reservations, and catering on the official website. I do not count the self-rating language on the official page as an independent evaluation; I see it only as a cuisine alternative for a day when we want spices.
- Kuu Izakaya · Google Maps — Sushi, sashimi, and Japanese izakaya dishes. There is an official Maya page, and sushi lunch deals were mentioned repeatedly in two Reddit posts. I left the promotion and lunch hours on the list to recheck before visiting.
- GANG NAM — Korean food such as samgyeopsal and dwaeji galbi. A 2025 review marked as paid for by the reviewer rated it as a candidate for when Korean food is essential. I am not ranking it by the same criteria as the Balinese food candidates.
5 places for brunch, coffee, and bread
- Ba KOUDELKA — Brunch, drinks, and laptop work. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer described it as a good space for having a meal and drink together and staying for a long time. The on-site questions were the rules for extended stays and whether there were power outlets.
- Café Akaya — Croissants, açai bowls, and brunch. A 2026 review stated
100% paid for by the reviewerandnot affiliated with sponsorships or advertising, and highlighted the air-conditioned café in front of Maya Sanur. - Dhatu — Coffee and café fare. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer liked the atmosphere but remained unsure whether it would be worth returning for the coffee alone. I classify it as a space candidate rather than a taste candidate.
- DOMOS — Brunch and coffee. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer said the atmosphere was more memorable than the taste. It is a separate review by the same author as Dhatu, so I do not count it as two independent writers.
- Olli Baked Goods — Pastries, bread, and brunch. A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer praised the quality of the bread and the atmosphere, which was not excessively noisy even when busy. I am keeping it as a morning candidate in case popular breads sell out that day.
Original 44 places checked against additional sources
- Massimo: The official website overlaps with several Reddit posts. Gelato received repeated strong praise, but there was also a counterpoint that the main dishes were average and Forketta’s pizza was better. I am keeping open the option of having only gelato rather than committing to a full meal.
- Naughty Nuri’s Warung Sanur: I confirmed the menu and operation on the official website, while a 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer and a comparison review of three restaurants discussed the ribs. Tax, service charge, and advance ordering for large menu items remained on the checklist.
- Café Batujimbar: It was repeatedly mentioned by Reddit, NOW! Bali, and Honeycombers, while a 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer introduced the satay, Indonesian food, and evening atmosphere.
- Na-Ta by Patio: A 2026 review marked as paid for by the reviewer highlighted the air-conditioned space beside the beach, shakshuka, and iced long black.
- Naga Eight: The official website overlaps with English-language guides. The BBQ platter and wok dishes received positive comments, but there was also personal dislike of the dim sum.
- Tree Bar: The official Maya page overlaps with Reddit and NOW! Bali. Happy-hour and live-music times are not fixed information, so they were marked for a same-day check.
- Jalapeño: The latest English-language guides recommend it, but Reddit also contains a 2022 complaint about reservation handling. One old case is not enough to judge current quality; a large reservation was marked for reconfirmation the day before.
More original Naver reviews with non-sponsored disclosures
The posts below are those where disclosures such as paid for by the reviewer or not affiliated with sponsorships or advertising were confirmed in the search results or body. I did not inflate the number of independent people by counting multiple posts by the same author or several restaurants covered in one post separately. These links are not a restaurant ranking; they are references for checking conditions travelers can actually experience, such as menus, prices, waits, air conditioning, and flies.
- Local food and seafood: Lilla Warung · Warung Ketut · Coconut Tree · Negative review of Warung Amphibia · Comparison of three places including Bakso Balung Pak Rebo
- Reservation-oriented dinners: Pescado · Rava · Naughty Nuri’s · Naughty Nuri’s return visit · Jepun Sanur
- Brunch, cafés, and bread: Café Akaya · Ba KOUDELKA · Dhatu · DOMOS · Na-Ta by Patio · Olli Baked Goods · Café Batujimbar · Fore Coffee ICON Bali
- Added in September 2026: Warung Guna’s · Soul On The Beach · Massimo Gelato · Le Croissant · Arena Pub · Happy Monkeys, four to five return visits
- Naver Cafe cross-check: I searched the GillionePass posts on Le Croissant, Massimo Gelato, Happy Monkeys, and Arena, plus Jalan Jalan Indonesia’s Sanur recommendation threads. Where only a title and search snippet were visible, I did not use the post as stand-alone evidence; I retained only details that overlapped Google, official, or English-language sources.
- Korean and Japanese alternatives: GANG NAM · Bibimbap · Imo Restaurant · Tom Sushi
Fore Coffee, Bibimbap, Imo Restaurant, Tom Sushi, and Jepun remain in the reference reviews, but I did not add them to the total of 82 Sanur options outside Andaz because their routes, distinctiveness, and cross-source support were weaker than those of the selected candidates. The map CSV also displays five Andaz dining venues separately, for 87 pins in all.
How I divide the Indonesian restaurant platforms
- Google Maps: The main source for exact locations, recent reviews, temporary closures, and opening hours.
- GoFood and GrabFood: Useful for checking local dish names, price ranges, and delivery availability. I consider delivery ratings separately from assessments of the in-person atmosphere.
- Chope and official websites: For reservations and the latest menus. The presence of a reservation button does not make an independent assessment of the food.
- Nibble, Kompas Food, and detikBali: Used to discover local candidates. They supplement places that English-language guides can easily miss, such as Mak Beng, Men Runtu, and Warung Ajik.
- PergiKuliner: An Indonesian restaurant service, but its Sanur coverage is not as detailed as its Jakarta-area material, so I did not use it as core evidence.
- Traveloka Eats: Reports said that the service had ended, so I did not use it as a current platform for checking menus or reservations.
Candidates held back from the final itinerary despite having some sources
I kept a record of Warung Saro, Warung Rainbow, and Warung Pengkola, which appeared only in one or two Reddit comments, as well as Azu Sushi Omakase, which local guides described as requiring reservations. The shared list’s Bakso Koko also showed 5.0 but had only one review, so I excluded it from the total. Cafe Dasa, Junsei, Pasar, Luca Bali, and the newly added openings were left as options whose operation and menus needed reconfirmation before being fixed into the itinerary.
Meal plan made before the Andaz stay, September 21–25, 2026
These are the options grouped for the itinerary at the time, not a record of places actually visited.
- 9/21 travel and check-in: Leave dinner open and choose from Fisherman’s Club, Fire Fox, or In-Room Dining.
- 9/22 beach walk and local food: Check on site whether Men Weti is operating, then choose either Warung Mak Beng or Warung Amphibia for lunch. Keep Naga Eight or a quiet evening at the hotel as dinner options.
- 9/23 brunch and a special dinner: Have breakfast at Café Batujimbar or the hotel, and reserve only one of Pescado or Tsune for dinner.
- 9/24 final day: If visiting ICON BALI, compare Blossom Steakhouse and Pizzaria; otherwise, keep Fisherman’s Club or Tandjung Sari as the final-dinner option. Leave a flexible post-meal stop at Massimo for gelato only.
Rather than make three reservations for special dinners in Sanur, the plan was to consider the number of booked meals in Ubud and our energy, then reserve at most two places in advance: Fisherman’s Club and one of Pescado, Tsune, or Tandjung Sari.
Note about the photos
The featured image and the dessert photo in the article were taken at breakfast at Andaz in September 2026. I link to photos on restaurant and reservation sites rather than downloading and republishing them without permission. Any account of a restaurant actually visited is kept distinct and uses my own photos, wait times, menus, and prices.

Sources consulted
The original Google ratings and displayed popular items were checked on August 30, 2026; ratings and review counts from the additional public list were checked on September 21, 2026. These are not rankings, and review counts can differ between Google screens. Official channels took priority for menus and hours, and unconfirmed fields were left blank. Places with limited supporting sources remained secondary options. Disclosures such as paid for by the reviewer and not affiliated with sponsorships or advertising were the authors’ own statements, not independently checked payment records.

Official websites are used to check operation and menus, while guides, Reddit, and Naver are used to check evaluations and conditions travellers may experience. Sponsorship disclosures were only claimed where the author’s own post or search result made them visible.
