Four Nights at Andaz Bali: Breakfast, Pools, and Activity Plans

What we wanted to do before departure#

We wanted to see the Sanur beach sunrise once or twice and take our time over the included breakfast. We planned to leave time for both a main pool and a quieter pool, and to join one aqua-aerobics session.

For crafts, we would choose one of batik, coconut leaf, or lontar writing. One Sea Turtle feeding session and one visit to Andaz Twilight were also on the list. We planned to use the full USD 100 hotel credit before departure.

Important distinctions

• The official adult activity schedule is a 2026 document.[1][2]
• An activity without a printed price is not automatically confirmed as complimentary.[2]
• Turtle feeding costs IDR 85K net per person.[4]
• Andaz Twilight is a paid food-and-drink program, not an automatic complimentary benefit.[8][9]
• Main resort activities and paid Shankha Spa wellness classes are separate programs.[2][6]
• Hyatt Regency appears on the same map, but this does not prove that all of its pools and facilities are shared.[14]
• Hotel credit was not shared with the neighbouring hotel. The on-site findings are collected under hotel credit.

Settle these questions at check-in#

4. The starting time and booking status of A Walk Through Our Gardens
5. Bicycle hours, inventory, and return rules
6. Complimentary access to Shankha Spa pool, sauna, and steam room

8. Complimentary minibar items and replenishment
9. Whether alcohol, room service, taxes, and service charges are eligible for the USD 100 credit within Andaz Bali
10. Breakfast boxes for two and departure transport timing

For important bookings, we planned to request written confirmation through the hotel’s messaging channel when possible.

1. Official adult activities during our stay#

The official 2026 adult schedule says that ordinary activities also require advance reservations through a Host. Locations are not listed, so we planned to confirm them at check-in.[2]

Separately booked activities are Private Yoga and Beach Exercises at IDR 300K++ each, and Family Temple Ceremony at IDR 1,500K++, with 48 hours’ notice required. Shankha Spa’s private yoga is a separate product at IDR 500K net. Similar names do not mean the same operator or price.[2][6]

2. Evening entertainment by day#

These official performances are easy to consider alongside Twilight and dinner.[3]

3. Sea Turtle Village#

Sea Turtle Village is on the beach between Andaz and Hyatt Regency. The official information lists opening hours of 8 a.m.–6 p.m.[4][13] Turtle feeding runs daily from 9–10 a.m. and 3–4 p.m. at IDR 85K net per person.

There is no fixed turtle-release time on the weekly schedule. Andaz Stories says guests may join a release if they are lucky, so we planned to ask whether one was expected while keeping in mind that hatching and conservation needs come first.[13]

4. Andaz Twilight#

Andaz Twilight runs at Fisherman’s Club every day from 5–7 p.m. Food and drinks vary by day, and the program is not entirely complimentary.[8][9]

From 6.30 p.m. daily, S’mores Box and Danish Bread Box are 150K++ each. The separate Pool Happy Hour runs from 3–5 p.m., with cocktails at 99K net, wine at 120K net, and a three-beer bucket at 205K net.[10] Our plan was to get a feel for it on arrival day, then make time for either Wednesday’s Cheese Bar or Thursday’s Tapas Bar, not both.

5. Breakfast included in the stay and restaurants at the hotel#

Village Market breakfast combines a market-style selection with dishes that can be ordered from the menu.[11] Indonesian options include Soto Madura, Bubur Suro, Nasi Gurih, and Kway Teow Goreng; egg dishes include Andaz Prawn Omelette and Village Egg Royal. French toast, soufflé pancakes, bakery items, Chia Bowl, Bircher Muesli, smoothies, and juices are also listed. Official hours are 6.30–11 a.m.; departure-day breakfast boxes were to be requested the previous evening.

Among Fire Fox, Pocha, and Hansik, Pocha Bar is open daily from 5–11 p.m.; Hansik Korean BBQ runs Wednesday–Sunday, 6–10 p.m. During our stay, Hansik was available on Wednesday and Thursday.[7][13] Deli & Bakery offers coffee, tea, cakes, and ice cream, making it an option for a pool snack or light lunch. There is little reason to pay every day if breakfast and lounge refreshments are sufficient.

In-Room Dining serves breakfast from 6 a.m.–noon, the regular menu from noon–9.30 p.m., and the night menu from 9.30 p.m.–6 a.m.; drinks are available 24 hours.[7] Selected prices are breakfast set 225K++, nasi goreng 130K++, mie goreng 140K++, and club sandwich 170K++. Regular food-and-drink menus generally add a 10% service charge and 11% government tax.

6. Shankha Spa and paid wellness#

Shankha Spa is presented as a shared facility for Andaz and Hyatt Regency. The spa operates from 9 a.m.–9 p.m., while the fitness center is open 24 hours.[5][13]

A standard one-hour class is IDR 250K net per person, with a two-person minimum. Private Yoga, Mat Pilates, and individual exercise cost IDR 500K net per person per hour; Watsu is IDR 850K net per person per hour. Book one day in advance.[6]

The standard spa menu says prices include a 10% service charge and 15% government tax. Check promotion validity and hotel-credit eligibility before booking.[5] Cancellation at least four hours in advance is recommended; cancellation within two hours is 50%, and a no-show is 100%.[5]

7. Pools, beach, and bicycles#

The pools listed are Liang Main Pool, convenient for the beach and Fisherman’s Club; Santhi Pool, for a quieter period; and Alit Kids Pool, intended for children. Lagoon-style water and room-access areas sit among the guestrooms and gardens.[14] Andaz Stories lists pool hours of 7 a.m.–7 p.m.; current on-site information takes priority.[13]

Sanur faces east, so our sunrise plan was to reach the beach before 6 a.m. and try twice to allow for weather. We would check tides, water depth, and seaweed before swimming. For bicycles, we planned to confirm inventory and reservations the previous day, ride mainly along the promenade before it became hot, and walk the bicycle through crowded pedestrian areas. Complimentary access and rental hours still required on-site confirmation.

8. Missing Must-haves#

Despite the name, this is not lost-and-found. The hotel provides some necessities to keep and lends others for the duration of the stay.[12] Items to keep include toothbrush and toothpaste, earplugs and eye mask, mouthwash, laundry detergent, sanitary items, shaving cream, sewing kit, and slippers. Items to borrow include a yoga mat, 2, 3, and 5lb weights, garment steamer, hair straightener and curling iron, electric kettle, dehumidifier, scale, and several types of pillows and duvets. The guide says to dial 0; requested items will be placed in the room mailbox.

9. What is shared with Hyatt Regency#

Official documents confirm that Shankha Spa sits between the two hotels and can be approached from both lobbies, that Omang Omang and Pizzaria at Hyatt Regency are presented as nearby dining options, and that the official map shows a connecting path between the properties.[13][14]

Guests can walk between the hotels, but the credit confirmed on site could be used only at Andaz. Free use of Hyatt Regency’s general pools, Regency Club Lounge, and Camp Hyatt Kids Club was not confirmed. A shared map does not mean every facility is interchangeable. The credit limits are collected under hotel credit.

10. Other programs#

Adult cooking classes take place in the Andaz Bali Private Dining Room between noon and 5 p.m., with a two-person minimum. Indonesian costs 940K++ per person, Korean bunsik 1M++, Italian 1.2M++, and seafood or Korean hansik 1.6M++. The file is labeled 2025, so prices need confirmation.[15]

Kemu Mai Kids Club runs 9 a.m.–6 p.m. with dance, crafts, Fish Feeding, and other programs. Selected crafts cost IDR 65K++, and advance booking through a Host is required. Teruna Teruni is for ages 12–16 and lists Water Polo, Scavenger Dive, crafts, and other activities; starred programs cost IDR 100K++. Neither children’s program applies directly to this two-adult stay.

11. Using the USD 100 hotel credit#

Our credit is once per room and per stay, not a daily benefit. What the hotel confirmed on site is that it can be used only at Andaz Bali, not at Hyatt Regency Bali outlets such as Pizzaria, Omang Omang, or Piano Lounge.

Even within Andaz, confirm eligible outlets and whether alcohol, room service, taxes, and service charges count before paying. Ask whether the charge must be posted to the room, then check the deduction and remaining balance before checkout. Our priority order at the time was Andaz Twilight and dinner at Fisherman’s Club, dinner at Blue Oven or Wok Wok, then Deli & Bakery or another Andaz dining charge confirmed as eligible. We thought it safer to use the credit for planned dinners or snacks at Andaz than to leave it until the last day.

12. The four-night itinerary we planned before departure#

This was the four-night itinerary we planned before departure. It was not a set of confirmed bookings or a claim that we completed every activity; we wanted to leave room for rest.

When it rains or we are tired#

During prolonged rain, we would consider Village Square and Deli & Bakery, Shankha Spa or the fitness center, and In-Room Dining, while asking about same-day craft or cooking-class space. If very tired, the plan was to choose only the quietest pool after breakfast, take an afternoon nap, and keep one dinner reservation. When sea conditions were poor, we would not force SUP or surfing; we would switch to a pool and aqua aerobics, using the beach for walking and photographs.
